iPad as a menu?

Came across this article by ChinaHush about a restaurant trying out a new method of using the latest technology, by having iPads as menus for their customers. It's a gimmick, IMO, and knowing some people would just steal it. It's not usual for cutlery, condiments, etc. to be stolen by small number of restaurant goers. And from the article, not everyone understand how to use the iPad, or just not comfortable using it. Nice idea for a short-term hype, but that's about it.
