Chinese tourists spending in Brown Thomas up this year

Attracting shoppers to retail stores are hard nowadays, never mind spending money on luxury goods. Chinese tourists buck the trend though. I've seen influx of Chinese from Mainland China on trains to Hong Kong on Fridays. A gold jeweller's store manager I was talking to said it's common to see Chinese from Mainland China flock to Hong Kong city and shop to their hearts content, especially jewellery, labelled "must-haves" like LV bags and so on.
They may not flock to Ireland but there's certainly more Chinese tourists, and they are spending money with Brown Thomas as an example. This includes Chinese living here as well.
I wonder when Mandarin-speaking sales assistants will appear in high-end stores instead of McDonald's to cater for all these tourists with spending power.
