S. Korean pop culture spreading to the West

Created Tuesday, 8th November 2011, 09:33 by Whykay
I know Hong Kongers have been a huge fan of S. Korean music aka K-Pop, drama, films, make-up, fashion, and so on. This type of popularity was Japan's but for several years, it has shifted to S. Korean pop culture. The BBC News has a short programme about the K-Pop culture spreading to the West.

Personally, I haven't been watching and listening to any K-anything as I don't have the Chinese Channel(s) broadcasting the latest fads. I don't watch any of the latest S. Korean films as I just have a clue what's hot at the moment. I maybe late on the train checking out dramas, films (although not the music), at least I know that this phenomena is pretty popular in Hong Kong and China for several years.
