Will panic-buying stop in Hong Kong?

I have been watching TVB's HK news recently and HK people are very reactionary. Aside from panic-buying salt, Japanese Milk powder (video). There are other non-Japanese produce, you would swear this is all they had.

HK people are also buying up pricey Japanese abalones (up 30% in price as quoted by store owner). Even Japanese snacks like potato chips, peas, and in one case, one customer bought 2 boxes of dried Japanese soya beans as she makes soya milk fairly often and this will last her the year.

Pity I can't read Chinese or else I would find articles and link them here. It seems this is more of a phenomenon in HK (possibly the surrounding areas in SE Asia, but I'm just coming from what I see on the HK news).
