AIB restrict ATM cash withdrawals outside EU to €100

How inconvenient. Constumers get charged for using their services to withdrawal money and they impose a limit of €100 if withdrawing cash outside of EU. Aside from not notifying their customers, myself included. (Via Irish Times, read the article)
There's no listings of what countries are affected, as it's varying amount. The information is not very transparent on their own site:
Is this another sneaky way for AIB to suck more money out of its customers as they are forced to make multiple withdrawals? Some unhappy discussions can also be found here.
