Spring Lantern Festival

It's also a time when folks eat sweet sticky dumplings called "tong yuen" (湯圓), they are made of glutinous rice flour and is rolled up into a ball, it has fillings like peanut, sesame or red bean (the ones I've ate anyway :-)). They are boil in water (with ginger and rock sugar), and are super satisfyingly filling, especially as a dessert.
You can buy them at your local Chinese supermarket like these ones from Asian Market on Drury Street in Dublin.
