Leap card -- it's nearly here, Ireland's integrated travel smart card

It has taken about ten years according to TV3 News, and I did a quick search in my old blog articles, and my hopes for an Octopus-like smart card went as far back as 2002!
But it's going to happen, early adopters can apply tomorrow to take part in trying out the card (greater Dublin only).
It'll be weeks before the Leap smart card goes public. I can't wait. All we need are credit card sizes driver's license and doesn't look like it's fake.
