Calling for Entries for the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival (DCNYF)

DCNYF IS CALLING ON ENTRIES FOR THE
DCNYF YEAR OF THE DRAGON FILM AWARDS SCHEME
To celebrate The Year of the Dragon in 2012, the Dublin Chinese Film Festival is introducing a series of Awards.
One of these awards will be for an original innovative short film
We are looking for aspiring short-film makers and those already established in the industry to submit a live-action or animated short film that contains an intercultural theme, focusing on Sino-
Irish relations. Also, in recognition of the year, submissions should ensure that the theme of the ‘Dragon’ is represented in any context or personal interpretation in the entry.
Six shorts will be chosen for screening during the festival alongside shorts from China.
The winning film will be presented with an award and a monetary prize presented during DCNYF.
The Dublin Chinese Film Festival takes place during DCNYF 20th January – 3rd February 2012.
All entries should be in DVD format with a short submission document to be sent to the address below by 5pm, December 2nd 2011.
