Irish Born Chinese


Cooking Time:
30 mins


  • 3 cup rice
  • 9 cups of water
  • slice of ginger
  • 2 x Chicken breast (diced)
  • dried scallops (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of porridge oats (optional)


  1. Wash the rice to rid of starch.
  2. Add water, rice, ginger and dried scallops in a pot and bring to a boil.
  3. (Optional) Add porridge oats.
  4. Add the chicken.
  5. Bring down to simmer for 30 mins. It's ready to serve.
