Irish Born Chinese

CNY Dinner at Taste of Chuan

Created Thursday, 3rd February 2011, 22:51 by Whykay
Went there this evening with family and friends for some CNY dinner. Ordered:-
  • Steamed sea bass
  • Tong Choi (vegetables) cooked in garlic sauce
  • Braised chicken with chestnuts
  • Hot and spicy beef with coriander
  • 1/2 special peking duck
  • Pak choi and pork rib soup
And it all came out quick, but not at the same time, so they were freshly cooked. The peking duck was not roasted though. The fish was really succulent, as was the chicken dish. My friend who likes spicy stuff really liked the spicy beef (even the chillies). The veg I love anyway and the soup was nice and tasty.

Overall, totally recommended. For less than €18 per person, and there were 5 of us, that's really good value in Dublin city centre.

We didn't even need to book a table.
